Durham Mayoral Forum: Thursday, Sept. 14, 5:30-8:30 pm, City Hall

University Scholars join fellow Duke students and Durham residents for a Durham Mayoral Forum at City Hall, featuring 3 candidates running for mayor:

  • Steve Schewel, Duke alum, visiting professor at Sanford School of Public Policy, president of The Independent Weekly, at-large City Council member
  • Farad Ali, local businessman and former member of City Council
  • Pierce Freelon, teacher, musician, social entrepreneur

Bus will depart campus at 5:30 pm.  Dinner downtown at City Hall.  6:30 -8:00 pm, public forum with mayoral candidates.  8:15 pm return bus to campus.
