Roque Nonini

Roque Nonini is a filmmaker and videographer based in New York City. He studied film and television production at Savannah College of Art and Design. Roque has worked in a variety of capacities on narrative, commercial and documentary shorts. He produced the award-winning (2012) short film, “The Secret Number” (Dir. Colin Levy).
DisemPOWERed: Puerto Rico’s Perfect Storm (2019) is Roque’s first feature film. It examines the colonial roots of Puerto Rico’s energy and debt crises.
Roque is also a photographer specializing in portraits of writers and creative professionals. His images have appeared in publications such as the New York Magazine, Shape, Workman Publishing, University of Nebraska Press, Bull City Press and The Center For Fiction.
