Duke-Performances-Logo-983x10241The UNC-Duke Consortium in Latin American and Caribbean Studies has partnered with Duke Performances.  Beginning with the 2014-2015 season, Duke Performances is offering complimentary tickets to NC community college students and teachers for select Latin American musical artist performances.

Black Atlantic Festival
During the 2017-2018 season, Duke Performances scheduled a week-long series of events around prominent artists of the Caribbean and Atlantic coast of South America. Venezuelan performer Bethsayda Machado and La Parranda el Clavo gave a free performance and talk at Cocoa Cinnamon on Wed, March 28, 2018. Watch the video

Carolina Central Community College students and faculty attended the Chucho Valdés & Irakere 40th Anniversary concert at Duke’s Page Auditorium on November 16, 2015.

Durham Technical Community College students and faculty attended the Lila Downs concert at The Carolina Theatre in downtown Durham on May 2, 2015.
