The Consortium offers courses in French at both Duke and UNC Chapel Hill. Why take French? French is spoken in several Latin American and Caribbean countries, including French Guiana, Argentina, Brazil and Haiti. French is also a working language of every international organization, including the United Nations, UNESCO, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, OECD, the World Trade Organization, UNHCR, and the Olympic Games.
