A central component of the Center's new media operations is its multimedia studio. Center IT staff possess extensive knowledge in graphic and multimedia design and provide these services to Center consortium members as well as in consultation with other groups from across the entire University. Our multimedia studio facilities include:
- Mobile Multimedia Mac Cluster (M3C);
- Final Cut Pro-based non-linear digital video editing;
- Polycom Viewstation FX mobile videoconferencing cart w/live streaming capabilities;
- Graphics and multimedia workstations featuring Quark Xpress, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Director, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and SoundForge;
- Mobile live streaming studio, including firewire digital videocamera and LiveChannel streaming solutions;
- Desktop-based videoconferencing systems (Polycom ViaVideo and VCON ViGO Professional);
- Darwin streaming media server
- 640 GB Medea RAID storage
- Private Gigabit Network for high-speed file transfer
