Thank you for showing interest in giving to the Duke Islamic Studies Center at Duke University. We have identified several priority areas as priorities for our fundraising efforts.

We are committed to increasing the number of Islamic Studies students as well as the number of international students from majority-Muslim countries. Raising funds for undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships is an ongoing priority.

The DISC Advisory Board and faculty have also identified strengthening the Duke Library's holdings in Islamic Studies and Middle Eastern. Our librarians work closely with colleagues at UNC-Chapel Hill library to insure that we use resources wisely to complement rather than duplicate each others' Islamic and Middle Eastern library resources.
